Air Tickets Guide: Where are the cheap tickets?
Posted at 1:23 pm on Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 | Posted in General
These are a collection for links for Air Ticket booking, checking for cheap flights and for viewing all available flights.
Available Flights and Prices:
- ITA Software’s Fare Shopping Engine - One of the best systems out there that shows all available/possible flights between two possible cities. The Pricing system might not be exact but its very to the actual prices that you might incur. Does not include booking. You can email the itenary to your agent so that he may book the flights for you.
- ORBITZ - Almost as good as the ITA’s Software with a clean and easy to understand interface.
- Travelocity - Looks like a copy of ORBITZ. Shows high prices.
- Expedia - I don’t thing you need to go here. No great search results. Not many airlines supported nor the prices here great.
- FareCompare.com - Another great site to compare air fares.
- ezeego1 - Site specifically for the Indian market. Search Flight. And find great prices too. You can book tickets and have them mailed to you directly.
- Yatra.com - Also a good Indian site for searching flight and booking tickets online. Both these solutions eliminate the need for a travel agent.
Track Flights in Real time:
Airline Seat Descriptions:
- SeatGuru.com - Not all airline seats are the same. Thats what I learned after I gave this a visit. Even if all the seats are in the same economy class on the same flight. Some are wider at the shoulders. Some seats have larger leg space. And then there are aisle and windows seats.

There is another great site out there that you might not be aware of called Airfarewatchdog.com.
These guys search thousands of airfares by hand every day to come up with the best possible deals. They cover all of the discount carriers as well as specials listed only on airline websites. Plus you can sign up for a daily newsletter which let’s you know about the best fares from your city.
Worth checking out…

I’d also recommend http://www.faremax.com for all your International (especially to Europe and South America) needs. I just booked with them recently and they had prices almost $300 less than Orbitz and Travelocity.
